Celebrations continue at Bellerive FCJ

Staff and students at Bellerive have further reason to be cheerful this week as they celebrate some fantastic GCSE and BTEC results.

The number of students achieving both a standard and a strong pass grade in both English and Mathematics continues to improve. An impressive 75% of students achieved grades 9-4 in these key subjects, with many other outstanding performances across the wide range of subjects on offer.

We are further delighted that almost 20% of our Year 11 cohort have gone on to achieve the top GCSE grades (7-9) in five or more qualifications. Particularly strong outcomes were achieved by Eve O, Alina S, Maris S, Paige T and Georgia W who secured grade 7 or above in all subjects.

Vocational BTEC subjects were also pleased with their positive results. Hamda A and Summer R were thrilled with their Distinction * grades with numerous other students picking up well-deserved Distinction grades in their subjects.

Commenting on the results, Bellerive’s chair of governors Sr Brenda Wallace, fcj said: ‘We congratulate Y11 for their marvellous results and they have proven that our belief in them was not misplaced.  Thank you to parents and teachers for the crucial roles you played in these results.  We look forward to seeing many of the students back with us in the Sixth Form this September’
