Alton Towers visit
As part of their preparation for a BTEC controlled assessment, sixth formers (students from year 12 and 13) enjoyed a day out to Alton Towers. They were required to carry out research tasks to identify the target market that visited Alton Towers and complete a survey about the types of rides, number of rides and features of the rides to enable them to apply their knowledge to develop a marketing campaign for a new ride at the Theme Park. As part of this research, and to be best placed to advise Alton Towers on a new ride, they had to try the out different rides! The most popular themed rides proved to be for thrill seekers: therefore the Smiler and Oblivion were put to the test to find the best features of both . . . . the girls have since come up with a new ride called 'The Smiler Rewind'
